The wedding finger!!!

I was checking my email and I came across this interesting mail, explaining why people wear their wedding rings on the forth finger. I googled forth finger and this is what I get.

The
ring finger is the fourth digit of the human hand, and the second most ulnar finger, located between the middle finger and the . It is also called digitus medicinalis, the third finger, digitus annularis, digitus quartus, or digitus IV in anatomy.

Anyway, this is the chinese version of why people wear their wedding ring on the forth finger:

First of all, try to memorize (remember ) this.

  1. The thumb represents your Parents.
  2. The second (index) finger represents your Siblings.
  3. The middle finger represents you.
  4. The fourth (ring) finger represents your Life Partner.
  5. The last (little) finger represents your children.
Then do this. Just be good and follow okay? Its worth it.

  1. Open your palms (face to face),bend the middle fingers and hold them together, back to back.
  2. Next, open and hold the remaining three fingersand the thumb - tip to tip.
  3. (As shown in the figure below):
  1. Now, try to separate your thumbs (representing the parents). They will open, because your parents are not destined to live with you lifelong, and have to leave you sooner or later.
  2. Please join your thumbs as before and separate your Index fingers (representing siblings).. They will also open, because your brothers and sisters will have their own families and will have to lead their separate lives.
  3. Now rejoin the index fingers and separate your little fingers (representing your children). They will open too, because the children also will get married and settle down on their own some day.
  4. Finally, rejoin your little fingers, and try to separate your ring fingers (representing your spouse). You'll be surprised to see that you just CANNOT, because husband & wife have to remain together all their lives - through thick and thin!!
Cool right? Haha maybe not for you but it is for me.

Okay thats the chinese version. What about other version?
